1. Rationale

Forced offboarding of Community Members is an unfortunate procedure that we all hope to use only in very rare circumstances. However, in order to protect the Community, there must be procedures in place to enforce the basic rules of civil coexistence and to warn or remove those who violate them.

This document has been created to provide clarity both to moderators and to new & existing members on the application of the sanctions described in the Community Code of Conduct.

2. Before taking actions: the decision making process

Before taking actions, try and ask yourself the following questions:

• Do I have permission to do what I want to do?

• Am I familiar with roles in Aragon and the DAO’s Organizational Structure? Am I following the Advice process?

• Does the action I would like to take follow basic ethical standards?
